Schoolhouse

Agunfoye is a rural villlage with no running water or electricity. The 150 villagers have lived by subsistence farming for hundreds of years. The Nigerian School Project has started the fledglings of a school but plans for a larger schoolhouse have been drawn to serve the school-less children from 13 surrounding villages.

Reverine, a waterfront region of 21 villages is just across the channel from the capital city of Lagos. No running water, no electricity and no sanitation system are among the tremendous challenges these villagers face. Education stops after the primary level because junior and secondary schools do not exist and most families cannot afford to send their children across the water to schools in Lagos.
